Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has participated in the 2nd Kuwait Public Private Partnership conference (PPPKW2) as a platinum sponsor.
This participation is part of KFH`s keenness to support initiatives that aim at executing mega projects in line with the state’s directives and efforts towards achieving the sustainable development goals.
KFH General Manager Corporate Banking, Yousef Almutawa said that KFH’s participation comes from its leading standing in the local and global economy as the largest bank in Kuwait and the second largest Islamic bank in the world in terms of assets, which amount to about KD 36.9 billion, in addition to having the biggest market capitalization of around KD 11 billion at the private sector level.
In his speech at the conference opening, Almutawa affirmed KFH’s commitment in supporting and financing government development projects as well as offering a wide range of banking and financing solutions that serve vital sectors such as energy, water, electricity, and infrastructure.
He added that the Bank manages a credit portfolio with high-quality assets and has implemented several initiatives to enhance its relations with customers which had an enormous effect on supporting the national economy and achieving KFH's mission to create a solid investment environment.
He pointed out that KFH is playing a significant role in financing SMEs given their important role in diversifying the national economy and creating job opportunities for youth in addition to contributing to mega-financing projects.
He indicated that KFH's economic and national role will continue supporting development efforts, leading Islamic finance, and contributing to offering innovative products and services which consolidate the Bank’s position in implementing its economic visions, supporting growth and sustainability, improving economic environment, as well as boosting green finance role and ESG standards.
He stressed the importance of concerted efforts to enhance the cooperation between the private and public sectors in executing partnership projects which are vital for the success of the development plan, adding that KFH is a key contributor and a firm supporter of all plans that aim at the growth and prosperity of the country.
Almutawa hoped the conference will lead to fruitful outcomes for the economy that contribute to strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors to serve development efforts in various fields.
