At Youth Empowerment Symposium
KFH-Group CEO, Mazin Saad Al-Nahedh said that Kuwait Finance House “KFH” is a pioneer at recruiting and hiring young national cadres, expressing his pride in sponsoring the Youth Empowerment Symposium for the fifth consecutive year as part of the bank’s social and national responsibility in supporting and empowering the youth.
He added, in a press statement on the sideline of the symposium held amidst huge turnout that the young national manpower is a major component of the national labor at KFH, indicating KFH hires and trains over 300 fresh graduates annually at different sectors art the bank.
“The drop in oil prices cast shadow on the national economy, mainly the budget deficit. It has been incumbent upon the GCC governments to take drastic actions to address the falling oil prices especially when the prices sharply dipped to below USD 30 a barrel. This requires continuing reform plans and reducing cost policies,” added Al-Nahedh.
He indicated that the surge in oil prices to USD 50 level a barrel is suitable for Kuwait’s budget, stressing the importance of the reform plan that boosts the income and reduces subsidies. The future of oil prices is still not clear which entitles the Ministry of Finance to put the best plans to avoid any negative impacts resulting from another sharp decrease in oil prices.
KFH seeks to tap into and avail the best investment opportunities, yet to conduct the most suitable acquisitions that add value to the bank in the MENA region in particular and the world in general.
Moreover, speaking at the second panel session at the Youth Empowerment symposium themed “Leader Characteristics”, Al-Nahedh illustrated that there are qualities to make a good leader and to contribute in developing the institution, most prominently is the clarity, the persuasion skills, and to be a good listener. The leader should benefit from the experience and capabilities of his employees. He should convince his team in the directives and plans of the institution, yet to be fair, ambitious, and armed with clear vision.
