Kuwait, March, 11th 2014: Chief Retail Banking Officer at Kuwait Finance House (KFH), Mohammad Al-Fouzan has officially announced the launch of the KFH-Nojoom co-branded MasterCard Prepaid Card in collaboration with Wataniya Telecom. He said that KFH is committed to innovating new products and services for the benefit of customers and will continue to increase its market share, and achieve greater value added to clients, noting that the card has witnessed a huge turnout in a record time.
He indicated that the new card is aimed at encouraging the bank’s customers to use their prepaid cards for local and overseas purchases, and is in line with KFH’s commitment to introduce innovative and customized payment solutions that complement cardholders’ lifestyles.
Al-Fouzan added on the sideline of a signing ceremony at Wataniya head office to celebrate the partnership between KFH and Wataniya, and with the presence of Deputy General Manager- Banking Cards Department, Julio Lobo, Banking Cards Senior Manager, Salem Al-Duwaisan and many KFH officials along with Peter Kaliarapoulos, Wataniya Chief Operating Officer and Kholoud Alfeeli, Director- PR, Media and Branding Communication, that “KFH-Nojoom” is a co-brand prepaid card that has been developed in collaboration with MasterCard and Wataniya Telecom and it offers Nojoom members an opportunity to earn reward points when using the card locally or abroad. These points can be redeemed in the form of free minutes from Wataniya in addition to many gifts from redemption partners. The card contributes in strengthening relationships with Kuwaiti corporations; thus serving clients and offering them competitive privileges and splendid discounts.
Al-Fouzan added that once the card is activated, the client will be granted 3333 points bonus and 4 points for every purchase worth KD 1. Clients are granted a wide range of redemption options, including talk time, clothes, electronics, air tickets, fuel, restaurants, meals and more. He further explained that the KFH-Nojoom co-branded MasterCard Prepaid Card allows cardholders to take advantage of 50% discount at 500 stores.
Moreover, he explained that the KFH-Nojoom co-brand MasterCard Prepaid Card is accepted by over 10 million merchants and ATM machines worldwide, and is equipped with 3D secure service to ensure secure online payments. The card also offers SMS Baitak service for cardholders to keep track of transactions outside Kuwait, standing order options, and giving them several chances to win prizes from KFH. Al-Fouzan went on to say that it’s not conditional to have a KFH account to apply for a KFH-Nojoom Co-Brand MasterCard Prepaid Card. All Wataniya Telecom clients and Nojoom members are eligible to acquire the card if the client is 18 years old or above. He added that cardholders will also enjoy the privileges of various MasterCard promotions.
Furthermore, Al-Fouzan mentioned that this card is a safer option than carrying money, and allows clients to control their expenses. He noted that KFH has always been keen to reinforce its market share by raising awareness amongst clients about the importance of using electronic payment solutions, especially since this is fast becoming a global trend. He applauded, on the side line of the launch at KFH headquarters, the bank’s collaboration with Wataniya Telecom, and praised the efforts of the team to make this promotion successful.
