Kuwait Finance House`s (KFH) "Increase Good Deeds in Ramadan" campaign saw remarkable success with its numerous community and volunteer initiatives. This success affirmed the bank`s leadership in social responsibility and sustainability, reflecting its prominent position as the largest private sector institution by market value.
The Head of Public Relations and Media at KFH Group, Yousef Abdullah Al-Ruwaieh, said that the community initiatives and unique activities implemented by the bank`s volunteer team as part of the "Increase Good Deeds in Ramadan" campaign have had a positive impact on society. These efforts reinforced the bank's commitment to community engagement and underscored the importance of its role as a leading example of social responsibility.
Al-Ruwaieh highlighted a broad spectrum of social responsibility efforts, encompassing volunteer work, sports programs, public awareness campaigns, health initiatives, and improved community engagement. He emphasized the impactful and well-received nature of these diverse activities.
Iftar meal campaign
Al-Ruwaieh explained that KFH volunteer team, composed of bank employees, distributed approximately 30,000 Iftar meals to those fasting at key locations across several governorates, reaching a wide range of individuals in need. Also, KFH distributed Iftar meals with the Kuwait Food and Relief Bank.
Meal preparation
Al-Ruwaieh highlighted that KFH partnered with Kuwait`s best central kitchens to deliver high-quality, nutritious Iftar meals during Ramadan.
Ramdan Majla
He stated that KFH participated in distributing Ramadan "Majla" food baskets to families in need, in collaboration with the Kuwait Food and Relief Bank, and emphasized KFH`s commitment to cooperating with official bodies on such occasions.
Executive Management Involvement
Al-Ruwaieh said that KFH`s executive management and many employees from various departments, together with the KFH volunteer team, distributed Iftar meals as part of the "Increase Good Deeds in Ramadan" campaign, showcasing their commitment to promoting volunteerism.
The Governors of Capital and Farwaniya`s Participation
Al-Ruwaieh said: "KFH and the Capital and Farwaniya Governorates joined forces to distribute Iftar meals in both governorates, with His Excellency Governor of the Capital, Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, and His Excellency the Governor of Farwaniya Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Athbi Al-Sabah. The Governors commended KFH's efforts in promoting humanitarian and Islamic values and strengthening community unity through this initiative."
Sports and Health Activities
Al-Ruwaieh underscored KFH`s dedication to promoting sports and health initiatives across all age groups, recognizing their vital role in individual and community well-being. He also announced a diverse range of activities to be held at multiple locations.
V-Fit Challenge
He added that KFH organized the V-Fit virtual walking challenge, the largest of its kind, in collaboration with its strategic partner, the V-Thru application, as part of KFH`s commitment to raising awareness of the importance of exercise and public health.
This event, now in its fifth consecutive year, took place at nine locations throughout Kuwait: Avenues Mall, Al Shaheed Park, the Kuwait Towers walkway, Mishref Oasis, and the Abdullah Al Salem, Al Rawda, Al Yarmouk, Jabriya, and Murooj walkways. For every 2,000 steps walked, participants received credits usable within the V-Thru app, encouraging physical activity and supporting Kuwaiti youth projects featured on the platform.
Shooting Championship
Al-Ruwaieh said that the inaugural Ramadan Shooting Championship was highly successful, achieved through a strategic partnership with KFH. He further noted that the championship attracted a large number of participants across various categories, and the winners were duly honored.
Quran Recitation Competition
Al-Ruwaieh revealed that KFH organized its twelfth consecutive Ramadan Quran recitation competition, a pioneering community initiative by the bank. Over 500 participants of various ages competed, with 60 winners selected from multiple categories by a panel of certified sheikhs, who maintained high standards.
Gergean activities
Al-Ruwaieh said that KFH organized several Gergean celebration activities at various key locations. He added that the Avenues Mall`s KFH booth drew a significant crowd, benefiting from a vibrant Ramadan and family-friendly atmosphere. This initiative underscores KFH`s commitment to celebrating Ramadan, preserving Kuwaiti heritage and customs, and bringing joy to children.
Additionally, KFH Volunteer team distributed Gergean treats to students at several elementary schools across Kuwait, in coordination with educational and administrative authorities.
KFH`s volunteer team, in collaboration with CODED Academy as part of their strategic partnership, organized a Gergean event for children at CODED Junior Academy.
Iftar banquets with Government Entities
Acknowledging the tireless efforts of state officials from various government entities during the holy month of Ramadan, Al-Ruwaieh noted that KFH continued its efforts to host iftar banquets for on-duty employees. This Ramadan initiative expresses appreciation for their dedication and crucial role in serving the community and ensuring national safety and security.
Hospitality services at mosques
Al-Ruwaieh said that KFH provided hospitality services at mosques across all governorates of Kuwait during Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers. The initiative received positive responses from worshippers, security personnel, and mosque organizers for the Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers. KFH continued to offer hospitality services throughout the holy month of Ramadan, specifically during the last ten days of the month, by enhancing its presence at various locations and mosques to support worshippers.
Cooking classes
Al-Ruwaieh stated that KFH offered cooking classes led by renowned Kuwaiti chefs to its female customers and employees, focusing on healthy home nutrition.
Banking Awareness
Al-Ruwaieh said that KFH integrated a community experience into cooking classes for female customers to evaluate banking awareness under the Diraya campaign. The participants responded positively and received extensive information on banking awareness.
Holy Quran application
Al-Ruwaieh said that KFH is offering the public the Quran application, which is available on both iOS and Android platforms. This application features exclusive specifications and characteristics for users, making it the top choice for accessing the Holy Quran.
The Quran application has achieved record numbers in user engagement and downloads across various online stores, thanks to its unique features and user-friendly design. Additionally, the app undergoes meticulous monitoring and continuous updates to enhance its development and improve the experience for users worldwide.

Al-Ruwaieh explained that during Ramadan, KFH leveraged its social media platforms to share informative videos on health and wellness, featuring insights from medical doctors and nutrition specialists. Additionally, KFH collaborated with the Ministries of Health and Interior to disseminate public awareness messages. The bank also provided daily Ramadan calendars, hosted competitions, and offered event coverage related to the holy month.
Volunteer team
Al-Ruwaieh emphasized that the KFH Volunteer Team, consisting of bank employees, fulfills a crucial community role by executing and overseeing all Ramadan Program initiatives. This fosters a culture of volunteerism among youth and reinforces the spirit of giving within society.

"Through the "Keep It Green" campaign and in partnership with V-Fit, KFH has incentivized participation in the virtual walking challenge with special prizes.
