In line with its leadership in environmental efforts, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has participated in the 4th Kuwait Sustainability Event.
KFH Executive Manager Corporate Relations and CSR, Faisal Alsurayye, said that KFH’s participation reflects its commitment to promoting sustainability and environmental preservation. It also aligns with KFH's (Keep It Green) campaign, which encompasses a variety of environmental initiatives including the participation in KSE.
Alsurayye added that the event is one of the premier occasions Kuwait, aimed at raising awareness on sustainability significance and enhancing efforts to achieve sustainable development goals in accordance with United Nations principles, and Kuwait Vision 2035. KFH has recently organized a three-day agricultural workshop specifically designed for children aged 5 to 10 years. The workshop aims to raise awareness on the importance of preserving the environment and encourage interest in agriculture.
He pointed out that the workshop received a positive response from participating children. Additionally, their parents highlighted the significance of hosting such activities which develop children's skills and help raise an environmentally aware generation through various available means, including agriculture.
In recognition of its efforts in social responsibility and sustainability, KFH received world-class accolades. These include the Corporate Social Responsibility award from EMEA Finance, Best Bank for ESG in Kuwait by Euromoney, and Kuwait's Best Bank for Sustainable Finance from Global Finance.
Additionally, the KFH was awarded an "A" rating by MSCI for its exemplary performance in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
Moreover, KFH was included in the FTSE4Good Index Series, highlighting its excellence in sustainability for 2024.
