Kuwait Finance House (KFH) organized the V-Fit virtual walking challenge, the largest of its kind, in collaboration with its strategic partner, the V-Thru application. The challenge is part of KFH`s Ramadan program, "Increase Good Deeds in Ramadan," and aims to promote social responsibility while emphasizing the importance of sports and public health.
KFH Senior Manager PR and Event Management, Fahad AlSaad said that the event was held for the 5th consecutive year at 9 locations across Kuwait, including Avenues Mall, Al Shaheed Park, Kuwait Towers walkway, Mishref Oasis, Abdullah Al Salem walkway, Al Rawda walkway, Al Yarmouk walkway, Jabriya walkway, and Murooj walkway.
He explained that participants in the competition can earn credits and purchase value within the V-Thru app for every 2,000 steps, promoting exercise and supporting Kuwaiti businesses featured in the app.
"KFH, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability through the "Keep It Green" campaign, incentivized participation in a virtual walking challenge with special prizes. Participants increase Kuwait`s greening efforts by collecting virtual flags, bearing the campaign logo, as they virtually walked through designated areas," he added.
AlSaad pointed out that since the V-Fit challenge`s launch, participants have contributed to planting thousands of trees, a contribution that will have a significant positive impact on the region`s climate. Furthermore, the initiative serves to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability.
AlSaad explained that to encourage exercise and promote public health awareness across all segments of society, the challenge featured prizes and engagement with participants through KFH`s social media accounts (@KFHGroup).
He concluded that KFH continues to organize and support sports campaigns to encourage sports, promote healthy living, and emphasize the importance of exercise and a healthy lifestyle, under the slogan "Better Health... Better Life".
