In line with its continuous efforts to promoting social responsibility and sustainability, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has launched its fifth training program in collaboration with the Kuwait Society for the Handicapped (KSH) and with the attendance of KFH Acting Group Chief Human Resources and Transformation Officer, Ahmad Alhammad.
KFH Senior Manager Employee Experience and Communication, Sara AlSalem, said that the long-standing program is one of the major aspects of KFH’s social responsibility and sustainability strategy, reflecting the Bank’s commitment to empowering individuals with special needs and promoting their integration into the work environment. This strategic initiative plays a significant role in strengthening employee engagement at KFH as it reflects the Bank’s interest in this segment that is an integral part of society.
She noted: “This year’s program builds on the success of previous editions by expanding the training scope and including more participating departments, providing trainees with hands-on, real-world experience that hones their skills and prepares them for employment.”
AlSalem mentioned that 10 trainees from KSH will take part in this year’s program. They will be assigned to various departments across KFH, including new divisions participating for the first time in the training plan, highlighting the Bank’s continued efforts to enhance and expand the scope of the program each year.
She commended the trainees’ interaction with the department heads during the program’s launch ceremony, where the Bank ensured the presence of its managers to meet the trainees and personally hand over their official work IDs, marking the beginning of their training journey.
She added: “Running from July through November 2025, the program offers a comprehensive training journey tailored to offer real-life meaningful opportunities to develop practical skills in a supportive, inclusive environment, allowing participants of special needs to interact and grow.”
AlSalem affirmed that KFH remains committed to developing this program on an annual basis in collaboration with KSH. This strategic partnership aims to support and empower individuals with special needs, in addition to promoting awareness within state institutions about the importance of integrating this segment into the social development plans.
Meanwhile, Director General of the Kuwait Society for the Handicapped, Baraa Al-Jenae said: “We take pride at KSH in the extended partnership with KFH, now in its fifth consecutive year.”
He added that the initiative is a strong example of effective cooperation between the financial sector and civil society institutions, contributing directly to empowering people with special needs and equipping them with practical experience and skills that improve their chances of integration and independence in the workplace.
Al-Jenae affirmed that this strategic partnership is an extension of a well-established relationship that has, over the years, proven its positive impact in developing the participants' capabilities and strengthening their self-confidence. “This is clearly reflected each year in the progress of the program's outcomes and its lasting impact on the trainees’ future,” he remarked.
