Under the patronage and attendance of Kuwait Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, the new Al Salam Al Ahmadi Hospital, a subsidiary of Kuwait Finance House (KFH), was officially opened. The hospital is located in Mahboula and covers an area of 5,300 square meters.
The event was attended by the Governor of Al-Ahmadi, his Excellency Sheikh Homoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, KFH Chairman, Hamad Abdulmohsen Al Marzouq, KFH Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, Abdulwahab Iesa Al Rushood, KFH-Kuwait Chief Executive Officer, Khaled Yousef AlShamlan, Al Salam Chairman, Fawaz Al Enezi, Al Salam Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ayman Al Mutawa, in addition to a number of officials in the private and public healthcare sector.

On this occasion, Minster of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi said: “I am delighted to participate in the opening of Al Salam Hospital in Mahboula. This distinguished addition to the private healthcare sector represents a significant opportunity to highlight the integration and cooperation between the private and public sectors in Kuwait."
Al-Awadi commended KFH’s social role and contribution to the development of the healthcare system. He extended his thanks to KFH’s Board of Directors, Dr. Ayman Al Mutawa, as well as the medical and administrative personnel.

Governor of Al-Ahmadi, his Excellency Sheikh Homoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah lauded the opening of the hospital as a distinguished medical facility that further enhances the capabilities and resources of Kuwait's healthcare sector, particularly in Ahmadi Governorate.
"I am delighted to attend the inauguration of this state-of-the-art facility, which marks a significant step in advancing healthcare services and offering the best medical care to the community. It also plays a vital role in elevating the healthcare system in Kuwait," he remarked.

Meanwhile, KFH Chairman, Hamad Abdulmohsen Al Marzouq, emphasized the KFH’s commitment to supporting Kuwait’s efforts to strengthen the healthcare sector, driven by its belief in the importance of healthcare and a keen understanding of the challenges that lie in its development.
He said: “Our goal is to help align healthcare services with the evolving needs and aspirations of people, ensuring their satisfaction and their access to world-class healthcare services.”
Al Marzouq underscored the essential role of the private sector in complementing government plans and policies, in addition to achieving Kuwait’s development goals. He added that in addition to being a critical necessity, healthcare is a cornerstone of economic activity, with social and developing implications, noting that enhancing the quality of healthcare is paramount to society.
He expressed his confidence in the hospital’s influence on the ongoing efforts to enhance the health sector in Kuwait with the latest technology and staffed by an exceptional medical and nursing expertise. Additionally, he highlighted the hospital’s distinguished factors that include its capacity, advanced medical equipment and convenient access from different areas.
He continued: “Today, we are proud to open Al Salam Al Ahmadi Hospital, one of the most distinguished and advanced medical projects in Kuwait and the region. The hospital combines operational excellence with innovative design, establishing itself as a vital healthcare institution in a key area of Kuwait.”
He went on to say that KFH takes pride in its partnerships and contributions to strategic development projects, reaffirming its leadership position and continuing its social and economic role in driving progress, prosperity, and sustainable development within the community.
CEO of Al Salam Hospitals
Al Salam Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ayman Al Mutawa, emphasized that this action is part of an ongoing efforts to improve healthcare services in Kuwait. The hospitals are working to broaden their services and prioritize the use of modern medical technologies and advanced facilities. Al Mutawa explained that this project is a key component of a carefully planned strategic initiative to enhance healthcare for both citizens and residents.
Al Mutawa mentioned that the idea of establishing the hospital was initiated in 2018, following a comprehensive study on the feasibility of creating an advanced hospital to serve the region as part of Al Salam Hospitals' expansion plan. He highlighted that the opening of Al Salam Al Ahmadi Hospital in Mahboula is a continuation of the journey of Al Salam Al Asima Hospital which began in 1964. The hospital has met all necessary construction and medical requirements in preparation for operation and accepting patients. Al Mutawa emphasized that Al Salam Hospitals always aim to provide comprehensive healthcare with a focus on delivering top-quality care in line with international standards, with the ultimate goal of improving the healthcare sector in Kuwait.
The hospital has fully integrated medical facilities that feature state-of-the-art equipment to deliver precise and efficient medical services. These facilities include operating and maternity wards, as well as luxurious suites designed to offer comfort and privacy to patients.
In addition to having 98 beds and 9 operating rooms, Al Salam Ahmadi Hospital also offers advanced delivery rooms, support departments like radiology and laboratory, as well as a pediatric and physiotherapy department. The hospital has a twinning agreement with the largest physiotherapy center in the Netherlands for its physiotherapy department, and a dermatology department with cutting-edge equipment to treat skin and body issues.
