Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has renewed its strategic partnership with the Scientific Center, a subsidiary of Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), with the aim of collaborating in the field of environmental preservation and sustainability.
Signing the agreement, KFH Senior Manager PR and Event Management, Fahad AlSaad, said that this partnership aligns with KFH's strategy and its leadership in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for sustainability. He added that the partnership aligns with KFH's (Keep it Green) initiative, a collection of environmental and sustainability projects.
He pointed out that the partnership will include a comprehensive program of activities, events, and initiatives focusing on the challenges of climate change. The program aims to raise awareness on environmental preservation and maintaining a sustainable future. Starting this month, it will coincide with World Environment Day (June 5th), themed "We Are Generation Restoration" and geared towards restoration of lands, combating desertification and drought.
AlSaad added: "KFH has always been an avid participant in similar partnerships and initiatives that solidify its standing in social responsibility. This is achieved through supporting environmental protection programs and awareness campaigns in Kuwait, in line with KFH's sustainability strategy and (Keep it Green) campaign, which encompasses multiple events, activities, and programs dedicated to fostering sustainability and a healthy environment across various fields throughout the year."
As part of the partnership with the Scientific Center, AlSaad revealed that it involves an array of courses and events for individuals and families. These include beach and island cleaning, a series of workshops, in addition to KFH's social media awareness campaign on agriculture and forestation.
"KFH customers will also enjoy a 20% discount on Scientific Center entry tickets throughout the month of June," he noted.
Meanwhile, Kuwait Scientific Center Deputy General Manager - Visitors Engagement, Mohammad AlSanousi, expressed his pleasure with the renewal of the partnership with KFH for the second year in a row. He stressed that KFH is one of the leading institutions in Kuwait in terms of sponsoring environmental preservation and sustainability projects.
