Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has launched the inaugural edition of the KFH PR Academy. This program equips undergraduate students and recent graduates with the latest trends in public relations and media, helping them develop practical skills in this vital field.
KFH Deputy General Manager Public Relations and Media, Yousef Abdullah Al-Ruwaieh, said that the KFH PR Academy is designed to provide trainees with a well-rounded experience in a world leading Islamic financial institution. "To be selected for the one-month program held in August, candidates will undergo personal interviews conducted by the HR department at KFH," he added. Al-Ruwaieh added in a press release that the program covers a broad range of public relations topics. Trainees will participate in various intensive courses to learn about the roles and tasks of different departments, including sustainability and social responsibility, media relations, journalistic writing skills, communication with the media, event management, social media channels, strategies for public communication, preparing and implementing media campaigns, government relations and communication with official bodies, content creation using mobile phones, photography, as well as video editing.
Al-Ruwaieh pointed out that the program will include field courses and workshops across more than one entity. These will cover the basics of investment and trading, presented by KFH Capital, and a first-aid course, offered in collaboration with the bank’s strategic partner, Al-Salam Hospital.
In line with KFH's leadership in environmental and sustainability issues, the "Keep It Green" initiative will offer a course on the principles of sustainability, greening practices, and tree planting.
Al-Ruwaieh emphasized the fundamental role that public relations plays in the success of all institutions. He also stressed its importance in developing effective communication channels with both the public and employees internally. Public relations department also builds and strengthens the institution's reputation, fostering a positive image that leads to increased loyalty and trust between the institution and its customers. He said that the launch of KFH PR Academy reflects KFH's commitment to supporting students and youth.
