Held at KSH`s headquarters, the graduation ceremony was attended by Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, Abdulwahab Al Rushood, and KFH Group Chief Human Resources and Transformation Officer, Zeyad Abdullah AlOmar, KSH Chairperson, Sabeeka Al-Jasser, and other officials from both sides.
KFH Group Chief Human Resources and Transformation Officer, Zeyad Abdullah AlOmar said: "It is with great pleasure that we celebrate the graduation of another group of students from KFH's training program, conducted in collaboration with KSH for the fourth consecutive year. This aligns with KFH's Corporate Social Responsibility and its commitment to support and empower individuals with special needs."
He added:"This year, we were honored to train and supervise an exceptional group of trainees with special needs. Their dedication was evident in various departments, including branches, cards, products, and others, as they successfully completed one hundred hours of work under this program."
AlOmar highlighted that this first-of-its-kind initiative in Kuwait's banking sector contributes to supporting and empowering students with special needs to engage with society, learn new skills, and gain experience through direct interaction with employees and customers. It also enriches their knowledge through hands-on experience, essential for achieving their goals and contributing to society, especially given their training at a globally leading Islamic financial institution.
AlOmar emphasized KFH’s ongoing commitment to uphold sustainability standards, which encompass the support of individuals with special needs through a range of initiatives, activities, and events.
He explained that KFH is committed to supporting individuals with special needs at all levels, including employment and training. He emphasized that KFH places significant importance on the quality of services offered to its customers with special needs including sign language-trained staff at our branches, designated parking spaces, wheelchairs, accessible entrances, ATMs equipped with accessibility features such as audio assistance, and Braille-printed account opening forms and contracts.
"As part of its commitment to sustainability, inclusion, and diversity, KFH has successfully integrated employees with special needs into its workforce at the Group level. In 2023, KFH established a dedicated workspace equipped with all necessary facilities to ensure the comfort, safety, and accessibility of 234 employees with special needs across the Group," AlOmar said.
He thanked the Kuwait Society for the Handicapped for their collaboration and expressed his appreciation to all involved in preparing and implementing this program, wishing all participants continued success.
KSH Chairperson
The Chairperson of the Kuwait Society for The Handicapped, Sabeeka Al-Jasser, praised KFH for its unwavering efforts and continuous support for KSH's members.
