In line with its strategic partnership and as part of its continuous efforts to support the youth segment and national talents, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) participated in the launch of (Live your Major) internship program, organized by Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST). The program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at leading institutions.
In his speech given during the conference, KFH Deputy General Manager HR Operations and Rewards, Talal Almutairi said that (Live your Major) is a step in the right direction towards honing the skills of male and female students through hands-on experiences while enhancing their capabilities and enabling them to interact directly with the work environment conditions as well as familiarize them with its requirements, stressing KFH’s keenness to sponsor similar initiatives and projects that strengthen its role in improving education.
He pointed out that the initiative to train a group of male and female students under KFH’s top-notch teams is welcomed by the Bank’s departments represented by the HR, IT and Digital Transformation, adding that an advanced internship program has been designed by these departments. The approach will refine students’ scientific gains in the field of project management, technological solutions, project initiation, testing and deployment, and will introduce students to the challenges during project execution stage in addition to other practical skills that will greatly benefit their field of study.
He stated that KFH is keen on strengthening its partnership with GUST and developing effective communication channels, pointing out that the first MoU signed with the University was in 2014.
“KFH is continuously seeking to strengthen its partnerships with various universities and educational institutions through various initiatives and activities, which creates an added value for students and youth and enhances KFH's leading role in social responsibility.” said Almutairi.
Concluding his speech, Almutairi hoped that this internship program would achieve its goals and enrich the students’ professional and academic experience.
