As part of its ongoing support of youth, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has sponsored the graduation projects of College of Engineering and Petroleum students in the 44th Engineering Design Exhibition at the Cultural Center of Sabah Al Salem University City, which was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The winning projects were announced during the closing ceremony in the presence of His Excellency Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Adwani, representing His Highness the Prime Minister, and in the presence of Her Excellency the Minister of Public Works, Dr Amani Bugammaz, in addition to a number of officials and participants.
KFH Group Deputy General Manager Public Relations and Media, Yousef Al-Ruwaieh stated that KFH has sponsored over 50 projects participating in the exhibition and more than 100 graduation projects during the academic year.
He stressed KFH’s commitment to encourage scientific initiatives of Kuwaiti youth which contributes to creating ideas that enrich the economy, adding that achieving development and economic integration can be attained only through a fruitful social and scientific environment by providing the necessary support for the development of scientific capabilities.
Al-Ruwaieh pointed out that KFH has also organized a special ceremony for the Environmental Sustainability Award to recognize the top three projects focusing on sustainability and environmental issues, noting that the award which the Bank has allocated for the second consecutive time, is an extension of its integrated sustainability strategy and part of (Keep it Green) campaign.
He stated that KFH’s annual sponsorship for the Engineering Design Exhibition reflects its social commitment towards the community, its comprehensive social responsibility and sustainability strategy, as well as its active collaboration with different academic and educational institutions.
He went on to say that KFH takes pride in supporting hundreds of engineering projects, stressing the Bank’s keenness to encourage all scientific projects and innovations of Kuwaiti youth in general, and students of College of Engineering and Petroleum in particular.
Further, he expressed KFH’s confidence in the capabilities of Kuwaiti youth and their projects that contribute to finding innovative solutions to overcome challenges in the work environment and contribute to construction, development projects.
It is worth noting that KFH has recently participated in the orientation session organized by the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University, in which the Bank sponsors 50 graduation projects from various engineering disciplines. During the extended partnership with Kuwait University, the total number of projects sponsored by KFH each year amounts to over 100 covering nearly 400 students.
Meanwhile, officials and participating students from College of Engineering and Petroleum expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation for KFH’s continuous support of students and youth.
