Kuwait Finance House (KFH) received Kuwait`s Best Bank for Sustainable Finance in 2023 Award during the Investment Banks and Sustainable Finance Awards Ceremony hosted annually by Global Finance Magazine. KFH Capital, the investment arm of KFH Group, also picked up Kuwait`s Best Investment Bank Award.
KFH was named as Kuwait`s best bank for sustainable finance by the respected editors and researchers at the global leading financial publication, with input from a range of executives, investors and consultants worldwide. Criteria for evaluation include governance policies and goals, achievements in environmental and social sustainability financing, industry leadership and third-party assessments.
Furthermore, global and regional awards require submissions detailing hard measures of ESG activity, such as year-on-year growth in sustainable instruments or green Sukuk as a percentage of total Sukuk, as well as softer metrics such as goal alignment with leading ESG norms or innovative product development.
KFH General Manager Corporate Banking, Yousef Almutawa said” We are proud to be recognized by Global Finance as Kuwait`s Best Bank for Sustainable Finance. This achievement serves as a recognition and a testament to our longstanding leadership in sustainable Islamic finance and drives our commitment to create more sustainable future.”
