Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has added the Turkish Lira to the foreign currency prepaid card launched earlier in five currencies (US Dollar, Sterling Pound, Euro, UAE Dirham and Saudi Riyal). The current card is offered now in 6 currencies after adding the Turkish Lira.

KFH Executive Manager - Credit and Charge Card Products, Talal Al-Arbeed said that the card has recently won the “First Sharia-compliant Foreign Currency Prepaid Card in Kuwait” award from Visa. It is the first card of its kind in the local market, granting customers the facility to recharge and pay in 6 different currencies during travel and online shopping and helps them manage their payments efficiently. Also, the card provides the facility of purchase and cash withdrawal in foreign currency without charging exchange fees. He indicated that the card grants travelers a smart and adequate method to carry their travelling funds. The card has become more distinguished after adding the Turkish Lira to its currencies’ basket.

He added that the card provides more advantages i.e., no change in exchange rate of the selected currency, easy spending in the selected currency without exchange, purchases protection and benefiting from continuous visa offers. This card is safer than cash as it is accepted locally and globally. Visa trade partners worldwide have reached 70 million merchants.

Al-Arbeed highlighted several outstanding card characteristics, such as flexibility in recharging through KFH smart phone applications and KFHonline and “Allo Baitak” service on 1803333, in addition to KFH banking branches and KFH Go branches. Also, card issuance to the customer does not require having an account in KFH or a salary transfer. The card is not covered in the customer’s liabilities. He added that the card is available for customers above 16 years of age upon issuance.

He emphasized that offering the card and adding new currencies to it later affirms KFH keenness to grant customers a unique banking experience that would achieve their inspirations and ambitions reflecting KFH strategy of developing its products and services and expanding its customer base and market share locally and globally according to the highest standards.

Al-Arbeed stressed KFH pioneering role in digital trading and KFH adoption of the most modern payment methods. He referred to the (Digital Wallet) service through mobiles and smart watches, thus providing the most modern payment methods according to the highest security calibers in collaboration with Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Pay and Samsung. KFH cardholders are now able to enjoy various smart and easy payment methods in a highly comfortable and secured environment by passing the device or the smart watch on the POS which is compatible with NFC technology locally and globally.
