Kuwait Finance House “KFH” issued certain tips and instructions on holding and using banking cards during travel abroad to ensure safe usage and achieve utmost benefit from the banking cards provided to suite customers various needs and interests. The participation comes as part of KFH role to support “Be Aware” campaign during the travel and holidays season where banking cards are extensively used. Accordingly, all basic precautions and instructions issued in this respect must be viewed and observed carefully.
KFH tips and instructions came in two parts. The first part covers the pre-travel stage while the second part covers the travel stage. All instructions and tips focus on achieving the best security and comfort calibers while using banking cards in different places and timings.
KFH pre-travel instructions comprised the following: check banking card validity date and ensure it has sufficient credit limits, ensure customer signature is available on the backside of the card, ensure SMS service is activated, download KFH online application on the smart phone to trace card usage, refrain from sharing secret No. or PIN code with anyone and refrain from clicking on unknown links.
During travel, traveler is required to keep all cards in a safe place, avoid exposing them to sun light to prevent damage, refrain from giving cards or password to any person, keep cards in hand upon purchase, ensure ATM does not have any strange devices connected to it when using ATM, protect password by using your shoulders to cover up when entering the secret No., and in case card is lost or if any problems arise when using the card to contact Aloo Baitak service on Phone No. 1803333
There is no doubt that customers implementation of these instructions and tips would achieve maximum safety and security for the card user to perform credit or ATM transactions or to combat theft of balances by organized cyber-criminal gangs. Criminals can travel from one country to another and trace the movement of the card and commit fraudulence acts through communications or by sending virtual links and obtaining the card information using various fraudulence methods.
