Kuwait Finance House “KFH” launched KFH Digital Academy to build and develop employees’ digital skills according to global standards in the field of modern technologies linked with the accelerating FinTech developments. This step is in harmony with KFH tendency towards digitalization, considering that the provision of fully trained and qualified human resources is one of the pillars of this tendency. The continuation of this organized and professional process shall serve KFH strategic goals.
The academy is considered as an advanced preemptive step highlighting KFH continuous endeavor to develop digital capabilities of the human capital (employees) and prepare young leaders and generations to cope with the technological developments linked to various fields of business. This process involves the utilization of highly qualitative and specialized programs prepared according to the most modern methods of practical and theoretical training in the fields of modern and advanced fields of technology, to develop the capabilities of talented and creative personnel in digital skills.
Group Chief HR Officer, Zeyad Abdullah AlOmar said that KFH digitalization and innovation strategy is based on upgrading the skills of our employees to enable them to provide bigger growth and innovation opportunities. Accordingly, KFH Digital Academy was launched with new mechanisms to build a manpower that can cope with the latest developments in the FinTech industry which is becoming the most significant element of future financial and banking transactions. The academy is the product of cooperation between the learning and development department and the digitalization and innovation sector at KFH. It represents the perfect cooperation and coordination among KFH departments and depicts the teamwork spirit.
He added that the academy aims, through the learning and training platform, to attract participants who have ambitious and innovative ideas. With the help of highly experienced and trained instructors, a group of talented and creative employees are selected to make the difference and change in the digitalization wheel.
AlOmar emphasized that the academy programs are basically based on the development of employees’ digital skills through real applied projects, and a focused occupational guidance through an integrated training program. The program starts with the evaluation of skills and integration of business concepts, methodology, leadership, and responsibility and ends with the full readiness of the trainee to assume work, lead development, train others and utilize technology to serve business units. This process aims to produce small teams that would expand into larger teams later to achieve self-sufficiency of expertise. From his side, KFH General Manager – Digital Transformation and Innovation, Mazyed Al-Mazyed said that the launch of KFH Digital Academy represents a new training process which is based on the individual’s role in the change. The development of the work team and taking it from one stage to another is the basic element of the program success. He indicated that processing the direct needs of the work team on a larger scale can be achieved by applying and following new work methods and trends which shall eventually lead to the enhancement of efficiency, leadership, innovation and understanding of our partners in a better way. Several scientific tools are used to manage others and explore their capabilities and inspirations as they are directed to the pre-planned goals.
Al-Mazyed reiterated that KFH is keen on organizing quantum workshops and virtual and training programs on digital transformation and developments in the banking sector currently on both local and global levels. He added that KFH has managed, through digital academy, to cope with the latest changes in the banking industry. He indicated that the training involves data analysis, artificial intelligence, robots and blockchain technology in operations thus aiming to automate all banking operations.
