KFH Voluntary Team Wins the "2019 Youth Voluntary and Humanitarian Initiatives" Award
Al-Ruwaieh: Community service key pillar of KFH's sustainability strategy
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) volunteer team won with the "Best Volunteer Team" award in Kuwait, during the 2019 Kuwait Youth Voluntary and Humanitarian Initiatives Awards, in its fourth edition. The forum was organized by the Arab Media Forum, a member of the Council of Arab Information Ministers at the Arab League.
KFH's voluntary team was honored in recognition of its various contributions and efforts in volunteer work, and as a culmination of its efforts to serve the community and promote the values and concepts of volunteering. The forum was held at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre under the auspices of his excellency the Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Mohammad Nasser Al-Jabri, and the presence of the representative of his excellency deputy minister of state for youth Affairs Dr. Mishaal Al-Shaheen , with the participation of the Chairman of the International Islamic Charitable Organization and advisor of his (HRH) the Amir, Dr. Abdullah Al Matouq.
The Forum for Voluntary and Humanitarian Youth Initiatives witnessed a wide participation from 16 Arab countries, 620 volunteer teams and initiators from all over the Arab world. While 120 initiators along with 17 initiatives were qualified by a judges committee, 3 other initiatives were selected through a presentation of youth initiatives.
After receiving the award, Executive Manager Group Public Relations and Media at KFH, Yousef Abdullah Al-Ruwaieh expressed KFH’s pride of supporting voluntary and humanitarian youth initiatives, noting that this comes within the framework of social responsibility, volunteering and sustainability strategy of the bank.
Al-Ruwaieh continued: “We are proud that KFH's voluntary team consists of KFH employees and implements various volunteer initiatives and social programs throughout the year”.
He noted that the number of initiatives and social contributions implemented by KFH’s volunteer team exceeds 200 initiatives in 2019, which deservedly qualified the bank to win the award.
“As a top priority, KFH continues to support Kuwaiti youth in different fields and initiatives, empowering them while emphasizing the importance of volunteering and humanitarian initiatives. The youth are the solid base which society depends on in development and improvement and are the true wealth of the country.” He added.
Al-Ruwaieh stressed that KFH is proud of its meaningful contributions to community, which is a bright and distinctive aspect of its career for more than 40 years, and an important pillar in establishing the rules of sustainable and social development.
